About

Hi, I’m Dorah Libby

I’m a born-again Christian who loves Jesus Christ, currently living in the United States but originally from Kenya. This year (2025), I finally decided to step outside my comfort zone to share my story with the world. So welcome to my little – but powerful life.

I consider myself an introvert, though my family insists I’m quite extroverted. I love to travel, both locally and internationally, and I’m excited to share some of those experiences here. I enjoy a good laugh with my friends and family, I enjoy taking long walks, and honestly, I spend way too much time thinking, planning, and strategizing, more than anyone should.

I graduated with a bachelor’s in Exercise and Health Science and a Master’s in Health informatics. Lots of techy, data stuff, and very recently, a business owner. More on that in future posts.

I love meeting new people, learning new cultures, and having deep conversations with friends and family. I am passionate about intentionally meeting people and learning about their stories because I believe everyone has a powerful story to share.

I spend a significant amount of time in the kitchen. I love cooking a good homemade meal and baking a mouth-watering sweet treat. Yes, I’m a homebody at heart..

I started A Life of Surrender simply as a yes to God. Mark 16:15 Jesus tells His disciples after resurrection to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. This instruction is famously known as THE GREAT COMMISSION. After having an encounter with God and seeing how he has changed my life, I made the decision that I will use my time, talent, and treasures to share the love of Jesus Christ, and I pray that his love is shed abroad in your hearts.

My prayer is that everyone who comes across this blog will experience the love of God, find renewed faith, experience hope, and most importantly, come to love Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

This blog also serves as a testimony of God’s goodness in my life and for my generations to come.

I promise to keep these short and sweet but packed with great wisdom and great insights. I am so excited that you’re here, and I would love to get to connect with you.
